Before there was a "Grand" Wagoneer, there was simply the Wagoneer — the original American SUV, introduced in 1963 and still setting the template six decades later. This 1966 was restored as a custom, one-of-a-kind rig that's equally at home cresting a Hill Country ranch road at sunrise or parked on the dunes with its tailgate down and the Gulf breeze rolling in.

2025 Restoration
This Wagoneer's body was mated to a donor frame for improved durability and ride performance. From there, the steering, front and rear suspension, and brakes were rebuilt in full, so this Wagoneer drives as solid as it looks.

Built for Wherever You're Headed
This Wagoneer wears a striking Sky Blue over white two-tone, with a bold white racing stripe running the length of the body — a color combination that turns heads whether it's dusted in caliche on a ranch driveway or catching the sun on a sandy shoreline. A lift kit and aggressive all-terrain tires on polished slotted wheels give it real stance and real capability, while the roof rack stands ready for surfboards, coolers, or gear for a weekend at the ranch.

Fresh Under the Hood
Power comes from a brand new 360 V8 — the same proven engine found in our Grand Wagoneer restorations — now updated with a modern electronic fuel injection system, ECM, and throttle body. The result is the classic V8 sound and feel this Wagoneer was born with, paired with the easy, reliable drivability of a fuel-injected engine.

A full accessory drive refresh (alternator, belts, ignition components) and all-new cooling system mean it's ready to run all day, whether that's idling in beach traffic or climbing a ranch road.

For warm-weather comfort this Wagoneer never had from the factory, a brand-new air conditioning system has been added — so the cabin stays cool no matter how far the coastline or the back forty stretches.

A Custom Interior to Match
Step inside and the custom build continues. The cabin has been finished in a rich saddle brown interior with color-matched trim and a Sky Blue dash and door caps that tie the whole build together.  All-new front and rear seating, fresh carpet, and steering wheel round out a cabin that feels every bit as new as it looks.

Keyless entry has been added for everyday convenience, while the door locks and windows remain manual — keeping true to the Wagoneer's original, uncomplicated charm.
