Restoration & Renewals
Our Restoration Process
At Wagonmaster, we treat every restoration as both a craft and a legacy — meticulously renewing each classic Wagoneer so it looks and rides exactly as it did when it rolled off the factory assembly line.
Wagonmaster Frame-Up Renewal Process
Every Wagonmaster vehicle undergoes a comprehensive frame-up renewal that restores the original classic experience with modern conveniences, improved reliability, and extended durability. For over 30 years, Wagonmaster has been dedicated to restoring Jeep Grand Wagoneers with unmatched precision and care. Our passion for these iconic vehicles runs deep, and we take pride in preserving their legacy for fellow enthusiasts.
Every restoration is unique and tailored to its owner’s desires.
The journey begins with a thorough evaluation performed by our team of expert restorers. We will guide you through the restoration process and develop a plan together to create the Wagoneer of your dreams. You will be informed and involved at every step along the way.
Our frame up renewal process is more budget-friendly (ranging from $65,000 to $95,000) and less-time consuming (typically 4 – 6 months) than our competitors.
To continue offering renewals and restorations at a competitive price, Wagonmaster only restores customer-owned vehicles.
If you don’t own a Wagoneer but still want a Wagonmaster, we offer Project Cars to start your restoration journey.
We also offer a limited number of restored Wagoneers on a consignment basis for customers who have traded in a their previously restored Wagonmasters. These cars are ideal for buyers who want a unique vintage car but don’t have the patience for a project.

It is important to understand that any restored Wagoneer will be limited by the methods originally used by the factory to produce these vehicles - which were not the most modern even in their final years. In fact, the Grand Wagoneer was the last American manufactured vehicle still produced with a carburetor! Any owner of a classic Wagoneer, even one restored and renewed by Wagonmaster, will do more maintenance and servicing on their vintage car than on a modern one. The driving experience, especially when it comes to steering and braking, will also be different when compared to any modern car. Wagonmaster’s goal is to restore Jeep Grand Wagoneers to as close to factory original as possible with the parts available today. If you are looking for a classic car that rides and drives like a modern car and do not have the patience for regular maintenance issues, Wagonmaster is not for you.
